Wedding Reception Terms & Conditions

CONFIRMATION - A completed and signed Wedding Agreement Form and interim payment of £500 is required within 14 days of the original verbal booking. Should this not be forthcoming, The Old Lodge Hotel shall be entitled to treat the provisional verbal booking as cancelled.

PRICE - In the event of any taxation change beyond the control of The Old Lodge Hotel (eg. Increases in the standard rate of VAT), The Old Lodge Hotel reserves the right to vary the prices quoted, to the extent, which reflects such change. The brochure prices are based for 2007 weddings only. The prices will be reviewed annually.

LOSS, DAMAGE and BAD BEHAVIOUR - The client (Bride and Groom) is responsible for any loss or damage caused to The Old Lodge Hotel or The Parish Centre property/equipment or any equipment hired to the client, by the client or the client's guests.

FINISHING TIMES - The bar closes at 11.30pm, by law you have 20 minutes drinking up time, after this ALL drinks will be removed. All entertainment must be finished by midnight. From this time the venue is closed and guests must vacate the building.

ENTERTAINMENT - In the event of having an evening reception, our resident DJ must be used at all times at a cost of £230.

WINES - If wine is not purchased from The Old Lodge Hotel, the Management reserves the right to charge a supplementary corkage charge (£8 for wine, £12 for champagne). Our wine list and prices may be subject to changes during the year.

WEDDING PACKAGE - to not incur any additional room hire costs, you must as a minimum, order the following for each guest - arrival drink, starter, main, dessert, coffee and wine. If you wish to follow through into the evening reception, an additional buffet must be provided (for at least 75% of your guests) or a room hire fee of £500 will be charged

PAYMENT TERMS FOR WEDDING RECEPTIONS -

a) A deposit of £500 is required, together with the completed Wedding Reception Agreement Form, to secure the reservation. An additional £1000 is to be paid six months prior to the wedding. If a booking is made which is less than six months away, an initial payment of £1500 should be made.
b) The final invoice will be raised, when final numbers are confirmed two weeks prior to the wedding.
c) The remainder of the account needs to be settled at least seven days before the reception.
d) For an evening reception only, a room hire fee of £500.00 will be payable - food must be provided.
e) All catering is to be provided by us, no outside caterers are allowed.

CANCELLATIONS - In the event of cancellation by the Client, deposit payments will be lost. Any postponement of confirmed business will be treated as a cancellation.

CANCELLATION BY THE OLD LODGE HOTEL - The Old Lodge Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if
a) Any part of The Old Lodge Hotel or The Parish Centre is closed or unavailable because of any event beyond The Old Lodge Hotel’s control.
b) The booking may, in the reasonable opinion of, The Old Lodge Hotel damage the reputation of the Hotel.
c) Either party becomes insolvent.
